About My Fees
I believe counselling services should be available to everyone who needs them. The BC Medical Plan (MSP) does not cover counselling services. In order to make counselling more accessible, I have set my fees at 10% below the recommended rates published by the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I also offer an additional 10% discount on packages of five or ten sessions.
Victoria Community Health Cooperative:
I am a member of the Victoria Community Health Cooperative, which provides access to affordable integrative/complimentary health care. At monthly clinics, members can receive health care services for a donation. Click HERE to learn more.
Employee Assistance Program:
I am a registered service provider for Homewood Human Solutions (HHS) employee assistance program. If you work for BC government, or another company that uses HHS, you may request me as your counsellor. 50% of the cost of your sessions will be paid for by your employer and 50% is subsidized by me.
Insurance Benefits:
Counselling services are covered by some extended medical plans. Please check your insurance plan in advance to find out whether MA level, Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC) are covered. I will provide you with a receipt for fees paid. You are responsible for filing a claim with your insurance company.
Tax Benefits: Your counselling fees may be an allowable deduction on your income tax return. Check with your accountant.
Missed Appointments: Kindly give 24 hours advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule appointments. If you miss a session on short notice, the full fee may be billed.
