DO YOU WORK FOR THE VIRTUES PROJECT?
No. The Virtues Project, Inc. is a privately held company founded by Linda Kavelin Popov, Dan Popov and John Kavelin. All Virtues Project facilitators and trainers are independent business people.

DO YOU TEACH THE VIRTUES PROJECT?
I was a facilitator of The Virtues Project for eight years, trained by founders Linda and Dan Popov. During that time I helped 16 schools implement it and trained more than 4,000 educators, parents, counselors and social workers.

My current programs take The Virtues Project to the next level by incorporating research from character education, psychology and social work. My workshops are congruent with The Virtues Project, but not limited to it. I offer you the benefit of extensive experience with The Virtues Project, as well as expertise as a teacher, educational administrator and psychologist.

You will also benefit from exciting, interactive training material that I created to enhance The Virtues Project, as is encouraged by them. They do not have to a standardized training curriculum; rather they publish a leader's manual which contains workshop outlines and various activities which can be used in a "mix and match" fashion. This allows the program to be adapted in a flexible manner to each application.

Facilitator training consists of five days that orient participants to The Virtues Project approach; thus new facilitators lean heavily on whatever previous experience they have. They are encouraged to offer workshops that stay within the scope of their expertise. For this reason you will find a wide variation in the content and quality of the programs offered by Virtues Project facilitators and trainers.
