ChantFest Victoria
A Musical Celebration of Spirit
Sunday, February 10th, 2008
1:30—9:30 pm
Come to the full Festival or just the Evening Chant Celebration

At Cadboro Bay United Church, 2625 Arbutus Road, Victoria. Directions
ChantFest is Victoria's first participatory festival of chant. There will be multi-faith chant workshops during the afternoon where chant leaders from different traditions will teach and lead chants. A community dinner provided by many faith communities will be followed by an Evening Chant Celebration during which each of the chant leaders will lead the entire group in chants from their tradition. The event will raise funds for the Victoria Multifaith Society.
If you’ve ever wanted to sample a wide array of world chant, this is the place for you!
Participate in the way that you like—listen serenely, hum along, clap, dance or sing your heart out. No experience is necessary, because the chant leaders teach everything on the spot.
An enthusiastic group of volunteers has organized the event, inspired by similar chant festivals in Vancouver. Vancouver Chants | Video of ChantFest 2006
